Your mission
Dear students (div/m/f),
We are pleased that you are interested in a working student/student assistant position (or in case of our research dept. a position as a (junior) research assistant).
We would like to inform you about some general conditions before you submit your documents to us.
What kind of tasks & payment can I expect in a student assistant position?
A student assistant is primarily oriented towards the support needs of the projects and departments. Unlike in an internship, you will assist with simple tasks in all order situations. This can be e.g. research work and the preparation of summaries, but also simple copying work or support in administration. The payment for student assistants is EUR 12.00 gross per hour.
What is the "general application"?
It serves you and us as a general expression of your interest and as a speculative application for a position as a student assistant. Since it is a speculative application, you will receive an automated response from our system only and we will contact you personally only if there is a timely fit in a department. Otherwise, your data will be deleted within six months in accordance with data protection regulations.
What requirements should I bring with me?
A valid enrollment at a German or EU university for at least one year from the date of your application is absolutely required.
Furthermore, you have to live in Berlin (or Tübingen in rare cases). International applicants are asked to check work permit regulations before applying.
Which documents are expected?
Please fill out the questionnaire online and submit the following:
- Cover letter with information about your motivation, availability, if necessary duration of your engagement at Berghof (1 page)
- Curriculum vitae (max. 2 pages, please)
- Your most recent academic diploma (e.g. Bachelor's degree if you are currently a Master's student) or, if applicable, your interim certificate
As mentioned above, we would like to point out that we are unable to process individual questions by mail regarding student work or internships and therefore offer an automated form of application and communication.
If specific positions in certain projects open up for students, these will be explicitly advertised separately. Therefore we invite you to visit our page regularly.
Kind regards and we look forward to receiving your documents.
By the way: If you have just finished your studies or if you are interested in joining us with your first professional experience, please check the specific positions or better use the link for initiative applications of graduates/young professionals.
