SCOPE OF WORK:
The goal of the RSI Assistant is to effectively aid the overall logistics of the RSI programs provided at the IRC ensuring a high-quality service experience for the clients. The RSI Assistant supports, helps, and assists the Refugee School Impact (RSI) Specialist in the implementation, coordination, and support of the programming in alignment with organizational goals. The Assistant will support the organization and implementation of events, intakes, client transportation, workshops for the program participants, school enrollments, will participate in data collection and record keeping, and will support internal referrals and communication with IRC departments to ensure that program participants can take advantage of the services that the IRC has to offer.
- Support the organization, logistics and implementation for all programming, activities, events, school enrollments, childcare enrollments, summer programming including conducting outreach to participants, conducting record keeping such as attendance, and any relevant monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Enter high-quality data into the IRC’s internal database as well as the donor’s tracking spreadsheet to monitor and report on program implementation and outcomes, including but not limited to, quarterly program reports, semi-annual program reports, and monthly program reports.
- Client service and support in accordance with program requirements.
- Conduct timely tasks to ensure client’s successful participation in the programs.
- Access interpretation services to help the clients.
- Support program by providing transportation for E/RSI clients
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School degree required,
- Experience in education programs for children and school-aged students.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, bilingual ability preferred in Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, Pashto, or other refugee/immigrant language used in Kansas.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in a multi-cultural setting and with limited-English proficiency speakers.
- Strategic, creative, problem solver capable of working well independently and as a part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), internet research, and experience using databases and information gathering systems;
- Able to occasionally work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to an insured vehicle.
Working Environment:
- Combination of working in a standard office environment and work in the community including meetings with community partners.
- Occasional weekend and/or evening work required.
Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
