The Role
At Last Mile Health (LMH), we are all stewards of our reputation and our resources. Do you have demonstrated experience supporting accounting and finance operations across multiple geographies? If so, you might be the right candidate to join LMH’s Global Finance and Administration team as our Regional Manager, Finance.
The Regional Manager, Finance will play a pivotal role in supporting the Regional Director, Finance by providing comprehensive financial oversight and management across Last Mile Health’s four program countries: Ethiopia, Liberia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and the Global office in Ghana. This role demands strong financial acumen and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all financial operations are aligned with organizational objectives.
In addition, the Regional Manager, Finance will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with internal and external standards. An ideal candidate will possess the ability to navigate complex financial environments while supporting cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations of the organization.
This role is Hybrid in Accra, Ghana, and is open to candidates who are located in Ghana and have work authorization or who do not require sponsored work authorization in Ghana.
What You’ll Do
Financial Oversight and Support
- Assist in managing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems for the regional office and country offices, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve journals, ledgers, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review and approve monthly financial reconciliations, including bank statements and other financial records.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the management of annual audits, including preparation for audits and addressing findings. Work closely with country finance teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of funder-required audits.
Policy and Procedure Development
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures for country offices to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational standards.
- Provide guidance and support to country finance teams in adhering to financial procedures.
Team Collaboration and Development
- Help leverage the strengths of finance team members in each country, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and developing training programs to enhance financial skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with non-finance staff to educate them on financial procedures and explore ways to support program operations through effective financial management.
Communication and Leadership
- Support the Regional Director, Finance (RDF) in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels to promote a clear understanding of financial policies and processes.
- Assist in providing technical support and guidance to finance teams in Ethiopia, Liberia, Malawi, and Sierra Leone, ensuring alignment with regional financial strategies and objectives.
What You'll Bring
- Progressive years of relevant financial management experience, including experience in an international or multi-country context.
- Experience in non-profit or development finance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and international financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to support and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
You’ll Impress Us If
- You hold a CPA (equivalent) or Master’s degree in Accounting
- You have previously used NetSuite

For Ghana, the range is $27,206 - $42,046 USD dependent upon experience doing an equivalent role. Please note that this compensation is subject to statutory taxes.
