Impactpool has in a short time-frame built an enormous network of HR professionals in social enterprises, HR tech entrepreneurs, recruiters in development banks, multilateral, bilateral, international, and non-governmental organizations.
Recently we organized our first virtual roundtable with the purpose to gather organizations to exchange knowledge and learn how they handle recruitments in the current context.
What we learned is that there are different drivers for who is recruiting these days, and it goes beyond the obvious that there is a high demand for medical doctors, medical practitioners, public health experts, clinical epidemiologists, experts in disease control and prevention, immunization specialists, etc.
In this article, we share which organizations that, a bit surprisingly, will have strong demand to recruit as a result of the current crisis, which organizations that will continue more or less as before and the ones that will freeze recruitment and even be forced to lay off staff and downsize.
We will also share a paradigm shift in the recruitment strategy for international organizations, a shift that many humanitarian NGOs have worked towards for several years, but for other organizations this shift has been too political to execute. Those organizations that have made the shift already are also the ones best equipped for the current crisis.
