Role objectivesPerforms troubleshooting, repair, maintenancen & installation of power generation equipments in accordance with project requirements & equipment specifications.
Diagnoses standby generator sets, system malfunction & service interuptions.
Performs routine maintenance, cleaning & repair of generators & facilities.
Installs, operates, maintains & repairds power generators & repair facilities.
Places, operates, maintains & repairs spot generators, standby generators, portable generators & light carts.
Completes electronic & manual work orders & reports as required.
May provide task level guidance to less experiences personnel as directed.
Responsible for maintaining a fleet of power generators as assigned.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or sub contractor personnel in accordance with the general supervisory duties & responsibilities addendum.
This role reports to the line manager.
Key competenciesHigh school diplom / GED equivalent preferred with 3 to 6 years of related work experience.
Required technical skills, job knowledge & physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Journeyman level certification or equivalent is required.
Completion of a structured training program in power generation equiment is preferred, typical programs are provided by the U.S. military, major equipment manufacturers & some techincal schools.
Position maybe located in a wide variety of environemtns from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh working & living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health & security requirements in the contract, the employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak & understand English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Position requires basic skills & physical ability to perform assigned job funcitons.
This role has no team management responsibility.
