MI has been registered in Türkiye since 2014 and has since built up its own office structure. With two offices in southeastern Türkiye, MI implements projects in the sectors of health, WASH and livelihoods. The MI team provides technical guidance and oversees management and administration of the partner-implemented projects in Türkiye and Northwestern Syria (NWS).
For its work in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye, Malteser International is looking for a motivated and qualified Finance Manager – National Position.
MI’s Finance Manager is a part of the Senior Management team. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible to lead the Finance Team in managing the MI operations in NWS and Türkiye and to ensure the compliance with MI and donor guidelines and procedures.
Your responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the financial management of MI operations in NWS and Türkiye
- Effectively lead the Finance Team by motivating and supervising staff members as well as fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Ensure compliance with finance-related procedures, standards and regulations of MI and donors
- Contribute to efficient financial management by reviewing and improving financial processes as well as implementing best practices
- Task-oriented communication with other departments and external stakeholders
- Build the financial expertise and capacities of MI staff and partner organisations
Your profile:
- MA/MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience of which minimum 3 years must be at senior technical level
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in leading and managing teams
- Fluent in English; Arabic and/or Turkish language skills will be highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
