Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
DRC is currently looking for an Supply Chain Officer to join our team in Kyiv. This position is open to Ukrainian Nationals only.
The overall purpose of the role:
The Supply Chain Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of DRC's supply chain functions within Ukraine. This position is responsible for overseeing procurement and general logistics support, contributing to the successful implementation of DRC's programs in the country.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that all procurement processes adhere to DRC Operations Handbook and relevant guidelines
- Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive procurement database for goods and services.
- Prepare or update weekly and monthly procurement status reports.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure effective support for program needs throughout the entire program cycle.
- Procure all goods and services.
- Track all orders, purchases and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with donor-specific logistics rules and policies.
- Optimize supply chain operations through the setup of long-term supply contracts.
- Ensure effective implementation of DRC's supplier due diligence processes in the local context.
- Apply ERP supply chain processes accurately and consistently.
- Provide technical guidance and support to country operations related to logistics and supply chain management.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have relevant experince and a strong understanding of procurement rules and logistics.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of proven experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles, preferably within a humanitarian or development organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.
- Professional fluency in English.

We offer:
- Contract length: One-year contract depending on performance and funding after successful completion of 3 months’ probation period.

- Designation of Duty Station: Kyiv.
