Over the last 18 years, Global Press has operated an exceptional training-to-employment program for women journalists in some of the world's least-covered places.
Earlier this year, we embarked on an operating model exercise to expand our global footprint, deepen the focus of our coverage, and create even more pathways for women journalists worldwide to get the training and reporting opportunities they need to tell important stories.
Today, we're thrilled to announce that we have opened the application process for a two-year topical reporting fellowship for women journalists covering these issues from some of the most complex places on earth.
The Global Press' Shifting Democracies fellowship is a global initiative that will delve into the changing governance structures in 15 eligible countries and their interconnectedness, significantly impacting the world.
As a fellow, you will:
-
Leverage your access to stories and sources as a local reporter living in the community you report on.
-
Collaborate with a global team of reporters and editors to draw connections across borders.
-
Participate in advanced skills training and development.
The deadline for applicants is November 8th. Fellowship applicants must be able to read and understand English.
