Mission and objectives

UNRWA is a United Nations agency established by the General Assembly in 1949 and is mandated to help and protection to a population of 5.7 million registered Palestine refugees. Its mission is to help Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank, and the Gaza Strip to achieve their full potential in human development, pending a just solution to their plight. UNRWA’s services encompass education, health care, relief and social services, camp infrastructure and improvement, microfinance, and emergency assistance. UNRWA is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions.

Context

This UNV assignment is part of the HR Department seamless data exchange between offices and business partners initiative etc. UNRWA Management is increasingly recognizing the importance of data-driven decision-making. An HR dashboard serves as a vital tool for Human Resources departments, offering a visual representation of key metrics and analytics that drive workforce management.

The rationale for implementing an HR dashboard is multifaceted. First and foremost, it enhances visibility into critical HR metrics— such as staff turnover rates, recruitment effectiveness, and training outcomes — enabling HR leaders to identify trends and make informed decisions swiftly. This real-time access to data not only supports strategic planning but also aligns HR initiatives with the Agency’s goals.

In summary, an HR dashboard is not just a collection of metrics; it is a strategic asset that enhances decision-making, drives organizational effectiveness, and ultimately contributes to a more engaged and productive workforce. As the HR role evolves, leveraging such tools will be crucial for sustaining a competitive edge.
