Functional Responsibilities
-
ICT Supervision and Monitoring:
-
Monitor and supervise ICT activities and projects in the camps.
-
Ensure programme-ICT related projects are executed within allocated budgets and timelines.
-
Report on ICT activities and progress.

Network and First-Level Support:
-
Serve as the first line of support for the Meraki cloud network.
-
Monitor and maintain internet connectivity across all centres in the camp.
-
Provide first-level support for UNICEF JCO staff, including hardware and software configuration of equipment.
-

Capacity Building and supervision:
-
Support training efforts and enhance the self-service capabilities of teams.
-
Facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building for program staff and implementing partners.
-
Supervise ICT support personnel across multiple camps, aligning their activities with organisational goals and fostering knowledge sharing.

Business Analysis, ICT Implementation, and Program Support:
-
Implement ICT activities, initiatives, and projects, following the IT development lifecycle and UNICEF standards in IT playbook.

Assist supply and program teams with high-level procurement for camps and other projects.
-
Provide ICT support for UNICEF program operations.
-

UNICEF programme projects (Youth, Health, Social protection) / T4D Project Support and Data Management:
-
Support various T4D projects including U-report, RapidPro, ArcGIS, Power BI, among others.
-
Exhibit expert understanding in data collection and prepare reports on key metrics.
-
Provide support for various offline/online data collection tools in the field.
-

Vendor and Telecommunications Engagement:
-
Engage with telecommunications companies, regulatory authorities, and other vendors for ICT-communications projects in camps.

Oversee vendors involved in specific projects to ensure quality service delivery.
-

Innovation and Capacity Building:
-
Provide technical support for approved innovation initiatives and collaborate closely with program staff for effective implementation of technology solutions.

Facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building for program staff and implementing partners.
-
Provide technology-related training and support for staff, counterparts, and implementing partners involved in the specific projects managed by this role.

Provide any support or perform any duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
- A high school diploma is required. A first level university degree in related subjects will be an asset and may compensate for some of the required years of experience, but is not required.

7 years of relevant experience including:
-
At least 2 years’ experience supervising ICT staff.
-
At least 3 Years experience in cloud network technologies.
-
At least 4 Years experience in different tools for data visualisation and analysis.
-
At least 1 Year experience in different data collection tools, such as kobo and survey 123.
-
-
Experience with ICT hardware, smart devices, IOT, mobile phones and web-based technologies.
- Solid experience with database design, SQL certificate is preferable.
- Fluency in Both English and Arabic is required.
