What we are looking for

NRC is looking for a Grants & Partnerships Coordinator to join the Myanmar mission. This position is a member of the country-level Programme Unit, and the role holder is responsible for ensuring quality and timely grants and partnerships processes.

What you will do

  • Field Support: Technical support and guidance to field teams; building positive working relationships across country and area office teams; continuous improvement of project cycle management tools and systems; and capacity building. 
  • Donor Rules & Regulations: Technical support, training, and capacity building on donor compliance issues; and ensure grant documentation are available for audits. 
  • Risk Management: Support due diligence processes relating to grant agreements and partnerships. 
  • Remote Management: Support the development and implementation of remote management systems and tools.
  • Partnerships: Building and strengthening networks, cooperation, and implementing partnerships; supporting the application of the partnership and localisation strategy and systems; continuous improvement of partnership tools and systems; and capacity building.
  • Consortia: Provision of technical guidance to the First Line Emergency Response mechanism. 
  • Capacity Building: Build the capacities of the national grants and partnership team.

What you will bring

  • Grants and/or partnerships management experience in the humanitarian sector.
  • Humanitarian and development donors’ exposure.
  • Donor rules, regulations, priorities, and compliance requirements understanding.
  • Project cycle management, and report and proposal development expertise.
  • Complex and volatile context exposure, working with displacement affected people.
  • Myanmar, or South / South-East Asia, context exposure and knowledge.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.

What we offer

  • Yangon, Myanmar duty station, subject to receiving appropriate documentation. Currently, international visas and work permits are subject to considerable delays. The successful candidate will be expected to work from home/remotely for extended periods of time.
  • 12-month contract duration.
  • 20% travel, approximately.
  • Grade 7 in NRC’s Salary Scale, with accompanying terms and conditions. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
