Job Description

General objective of the internship:
Assist and support the Regional Office in the administrative processes.

Responsibilities
Context and activities:
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Resources Management Officer; the Resource Management Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Provide support in the administrative and financial processes including but not limited to purchase and travel requests.
2. Type, format and draft routine correspondence; collate tables, reports, presentations, publications, and other documentation.
3. Support the organization and administration of meetings, workshops and events. E.g. arranging for meeting rooms and other facilities.
4. Assist with arranging for travels: organize transport, logistics, accommodation, documents.
5. Initiate general administrative tasks in the computerized financial/ travel/ resources management systems.
6. Follow IOM's style and brand guidelines.
7. Perform any other tasks that are assigned.
Qualifications
Education and experience required:
• Related studies in finance, accounting, administration or related fields.
• Knowledge in online office applications such as Office 365 (One Drive, SharePoint, etc.).
• Attention to detail, interest in learning.
Desirable competencies:
• Motivation and ability to perform individually and as a team.
• Experience in finance, accounting, administration or related fields.
• Ability to systematize information.
• Knowledge in digital media.
• Sensitivity and interest in working on issues related to migration are required.
Language:
• Excellent command of Spanish, both written and oral.
• Fluent English, both written and oral.
Eligibility criteria:
• Recent graduate students with a university degree.
• Students enrolled in the final academic year of an undergraduate degree program or in a graduate program.
• Age range between 20 and 36 years.
