Role Purpose

This role incumbent will be responsible for supporting the design, delivery, and coordination of training and development initiatives that enhance employee skills and support their career growth. This role focuses on assisting in the creation of learning opportunities, helping employees improve their abilities, and supporting talent development efforts to meet organizational needs.

Key Functional Accountabilities and Activities

Learning and Development:

  • Assist in identifying the learning needs of employees by gathering feedback from managers and team leaders.

  • Support the prioritization of training topics and learning requirements based on staff, department and organizational goals.

  • Manage logistics for training sessions, such as setting up virtual or in-person classes, coordinating hotel reservations/agreements and ensuring materials are ready.

  • Collect feedback from training participants to measure the effectiveness of programs.

  • Help analyze feedback and suggest improvements to training content and delivery methods.

  • Assist with tracking progress of the learning and development plan and provide regular updates on training results.

  • Maintain a database of internal and external training resources (books, online tools, courses) and make recommendations for new resources when needed.

  • Help collect data through surveys or informal discussions to understand skill gaps or areas for improvement.

Talent and Succession Planning Support:

  • Assist in identifying high-potential employees and help create tailored development plans that prepare them for future leadership roles.

  • Contribute to the succession planning process by ensuring that talent development efforts are aligned with future organizational needs and objectives.

  • Organize and maintain documentation related to talent development and succession planning activities.

  • Work with leadership to ensure that employees’ growth and development are aligned with long-term company goals.

  • Help track and document the progress of employees participating in talent development programs.

  • Help coordinate activities related to succession planning, including updating talent pipeline and tracking employees' readiness for promotion.

  • Support the team in preparing reports and materials for leadership discussions on succession planning.

  • Assist with data collection and analysis for key roles within the organization to identify potential successors.

  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and coordinating communication with employees and managers involved in succession planning.

  • Update and maintain talent development records and reports.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in implementing the individual performance management framework that aligns individual goals with organizational objectives.

  • Support managers in setting clear, measurable performance objectives for their team members, conducting performance check ins and year end performance evaluation.

  • Facilitate the creation of performance improvement plans (PIPs) for employees needing additional support.

  • Track and analyze individual performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for development.

  • Ensure consistent documentation of performance evaluation and related discussions.

  • Provide logistical support and guidance to the users on the adequate usage of the performance evaluation system.

Administrative Support and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and report on data related to training activities, employee participation, and learning outcomes.

  • Provide regular reports to management on the status of learning programs, progress towards training goals, and employee development.

  • Assist with scheduling training sessions, managing attendance, and tracking training records.

  • Keep track of budget utilization and coordinate with the Finance department the monthly budget consumption report.

  • Process learning and development programs’ payments by following the standard procedures and approval cycle.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other functions in the People and Culture Department and Management teams to identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and shared learning experiences.

  • Assist in building partnerships with external vendors or consultants to enhance training offerings, such as guest speakers or specialized trainers.

  • Collaborate with the internal communications team to ensure messages about talent development programs reach all departments effectively.

  • Assist in the development of forums or group discussions that allow employees from different functions to share knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications/ Professional Experience
  • At least 1 year(s) of experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management preferably in Human Resources or People Partnership related role is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Accounting or any relevant discipline is a must.

  • A professional certification in SHRM / CIPD / HRCI or any additional relevant professional qualification is required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop relationships with the stakeholders.

  • Good analytical and presentation skills with expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power point).
