UNDP is seeking to recruit an intern for its regional project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in Arab Countries (ACIAC) to support its research and outreach activities on issues pertaining to anti-corruption, rule of law, and democratic governance in the Arab region. The intern will support the regional project in implementing its activities, as well as communications with partner and beneficiaries, and perform related administrative tasks as needed. The intern will work under the supervision of the Regional Chief Technical Advisor and Project Manager or his/her designated representative(s).
- Undertake research tasks as required on issues pertaining to anti-corruption, rule of law, and democratic governance trends and developments in the Arab region and worldwide.
- Assist in reviewing, translating, and editing documents produced in the framework of the project.
- Assist in conducting project communications with partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
- Support the organization of project activities including, amongst others, the development of list of participants and biographies, provision of on-site logistical assistance.
- Assist in updating ACIAC’s website as well as related social media outlets.
- Assist in updating ACINET website as well as related social media outlets.
- Perform other related administrative tasks as necessary.

Applicants to the UNDP internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements in Law, Public Administration, Economics, Business or related Social Sciences:
(a) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
(b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent);
(c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
Relevant previous experience in the field of governance and/or anti-corruption is a plus.
Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English (French is a strong additional asset).
Interns are considered gratis personnel. They are not staff members. Interns are not financially remunerated by UNDP. The costs associated must be borne by the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students; or by the student, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his or her own arrangements for travel, accommodation, visa, etc.
