The intern will support various specialists, dependent on their need, across Sustainability and Fiduciary Solutions Department’s (SFD) broad project portfolio. The intern will work on projects, under the guidance of Specialists, across the sphere of operations ranging from feasibility studies through to implementation. The work may cover both environmental and social aspects of Category A and B projects across energy and infrastructure sectors. 

Responsibilities:

The main objective for the intern is to contribute to the Environment & Social teams’ portfolio of projects, gaining first hand experience in what it takes to work in safeguards whilst effectively contributing to the team. Outputs will include: 

  • Input in specific project tasks – work on safeguard instruments such as Environmental and Social Impact Assessment / Resettlement Action Plan / Environmental and Social Due Diligence review etc; 
  • Input into internal Sustainability and Fiduciary Solutions Department tasks / research. 
  • Provide project updates and summaries to Environment & Social project teams; 
  • Provide a presentation to the Environment & Social team at the end of the internship covering learning outcomes 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters/MBA or PhD program, preferably specialized in Environmental  Management / Engineering / Science; Ecology;  Sustainability; Sociology; International Development / Human Geography / Master Planning  
  • Passion for international development/area of interests. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Great team player. 
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
