The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. The intern will be placed in the Strategic Planning and Membership Team of the Corporate Secretariat and key responsibilities will include provision of technical support to the sessions of Board of Governors at the 10th Annual Meeting. Ancillary responsibilities will include support in elections monitoring and preparation of BoG newsletter.  

Responsibilities:

  • Provide organizational and logistical support to the organization of sessions of the Board of Governors during the Annual Meeting, including assistance with document preparation. 
  • Support elections monitoring for informed engagement with shareholders. 
  • Support preparation of BoG newsletter. 

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters/MBA or PhD program, preferably specialized in development finance, governance or political science 
  • Passion for international development/area of interests. 
  • Ability to conduct research with minimum supervision and exercise judgement. 
  • A strong sense of personal integrity and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, including with high-level stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Great team player. 
  • Fluent in oral and written English. 
  • Relevant previous professional, internship or volunteer experience would be an advantage.
