SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES GHANA is a child welfare organisation providing stable Family-Like Care (FLC) for needy children. We also provide social services for families at risk through our Family Strengthening Projects. Currently, we operate in four locations; Tema, Asiakwa, Kumasi, Tamale with the National Office in Accra. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and dynamic persons for appointment as:
Finance Officer
Location: Tamale
Principal Responsibilities
1. Prepare Programme Cash, Bank and Income Registers.
2. Prepare Income Register (Uniform, cloth, and School fees)
3. Prepare Bank reconciliation statements for the Programme Location.
4. Ensure all receipts and supporting documents are attached to payment vouchers.
5. Write Cheques and payment Vouchers for the Programme.
6. Support the labelling of Fixed Assets for the Programme.
7. Make entries in Microsoft Dynamic 365
8. Support preparation of location budget.
9. Ensure Allowance for Contract and Casual staff are paid on time.
10. Ensure proper filing of accounting documents.
11. School Master Issues: Print Monthly Arrears List and Category List (Canteen, PTA, Tuition, ICT etc.).
12. Issue receipts for school fees using the schoolmaster during the absence of the Administrative Assistant.
13. Lodge school fees collection to the bank
14. Prepare Household and donation in kind tracking Register.
15. Lodge cash donation, proceeds from uniform, bank draft and clinic income to bank.
16. Conduct monthly stock-taking of Donations in kind, school uniforms, stationery and other materials.
17. Prepare a register of fees received on the mobile wallet.
18. Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Educational Qualification and working experience
Bachelor of Commerce, 1st Degree in Accountancy
At least 2 years relevant working experience
