The Programme attracts talented students or recent graduates to the Organization and provides them with:
- A better understanding of the Organization’s goals and objectives and how international police cooperation is organized
- An insight into how an international organization operates
- A framework to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing skills which are useful for their career and future employment - Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance

As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.
Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.

• Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance;
• Develop research skills in gathering and analyzing open-source intelligence in the area of financial crime;
• Learn the different aspects of training logistics and administration and put it into practice;
• Develop understanding and experience of working in a multicultural environment;
• Exposure to International diplomacy, the works of two major International Organizations and law enforcement applied to a large range of crime areas.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES/PRINCIPALES MISSIONS ET ACTIVITÉS

DUTY 1/Mission 1
Assist in the drafting and preparation of speeches, policy papers, briefing materials, and presentations.
DUTY 2/Mission 2
Assist in the background research related to development of analytical papers and project plans.
DUTY 3/Mission 3
Provide administrative and logistical support to develop the liaison and cooperation between the Office of Special Representative of INTERPOL to the UN (SRIUN) and the UN system and Permanent Missions.
Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS, COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED/FORMATION:
Be enrolled in a, or have graduated from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution within the past one year on the date of submission of their application in the field of International Relations, Political Science, International Law, Business Management or related area at Bachelor level. Masters level would be an asset.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/EXPÉRIENCE:
No work experience required. Internship experience in an office setting or an international organization will be considered an asset.
LANGUAGES/LANGUES:
• Professional fluency in English is required.
• A good command of any other INTERPOL official working language (French, Arabic or Spanish) will be considered an asset.
ABILITIES REQUIRED/COMPÉTENCES TECHNIQUES:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
• Good drafting skills in English;
• Ability to draft meeting minutes and summaries;
• Knowledge of research methodologies.
