Student Assistant Innovation* 

in Bonn

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration until 31.12.2025.  There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated with 14 Euro per hour.

Welthungerhilfe's Innovation Unit develops and implements innovative solutions in the fight against hunger, using agile methodologies and social business approaches. Our work is expanding, serving diverse “clients” such as external teams, local NGO partners, start-ups, and social enterprises. With a globally distributed team, we rely heavily on virtual collaboration, organizing and hosting virtual (and occasional in-person) work events. Our work spans communication, PR, fundraising, project management, and more. The innovation team conducts the innovation challenge, a key initiative to find the next creative solutions for zero hunger.

As a Student Assistant Innovation, you will provide flexible support across these areas, with a special focus in 2025 on communication—managing the website, social media, content creation, and related tasks.

Your responsibilities

  • Support our communication efforts with data collection, texting, supporting web design and social media work

  • Draft and design presentations, communication materials, web-content etc. 

  • Prepare and document meetings and conferences 

  • Support planning and execution of annual WHH innovation challenge

  • Join the support work and project for our innovation unit clients whereever needed

  • Support all administrative processes and fulfill general research tasks

  • Bring in your views and ideas

Your profile

  • You are currently enrolled as a student in any field that can relate to the fight for Zero Hunger.

  • You have creativity, strong communication skills, and experience in writing or web design, which would be a valuable asset.

  • You are ready and motivated to work in a highly international and dynamic team.

  • Organizational skills, curiosity and strong communication skills characterize you.

  • You are committed, reliable and able to work independently.

  • English comes naturally to you, both spoken and written. German skills would be an advantage, while French would be a plus.
