Consultants for Impact is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering consultants to leverage their careers to have meaningful social impact. We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to lead content creation, development, and execution of our digital marketing strategy and management of our digital platforms, including our website and social media channels.

If hired, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Consultants for Impact’s digital presence and ensuring our content resonates with ambitious consultants eager to maximize their professional impact. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine creative and strategic skills in a mission-driven environment while building connections with an inspiring, global network of professionals.

As a young and growing organization, we are expanding and testing new approaches to social media outreach. You will have the chance to build and refine our digital marketing strategies during an exciting time of growth and evolution. This role will enable you to further develop your expertise in digital marketing while making a meaningful contribution to solving some of the world’s most pressing problems.

Consultants for Impact is a global professional organization that supports more than 1,500 consultants. Our members are united by the goal of maximizing their social impact through evidence-based approaches.

  • We offer programs that directly support consultants in their career transitions. These include tailored career advising, talent referrals, and retreats designed to help members explore and pursue high-impact opportunities.

What you'll do

Social media strategy and execution
  • Own and develop Consultants for Impact’s social media presence across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Build a presence from scratch on additional platforms that our audience frequents (e.g. Reddit). 
  • Actively engage in virtual discourse through comments, messages, and posts to build Consultants for Impact’s visibility and credibility among consultants striving for impactful career transitions.
  • Create and schedule engaging, platform-optimized content to expand reach and increase engagement.
  • Develop and execute targeted paid campaigns that align with organizational objectives such as awareness building and member conversion.
Content creation
  • Develop engaging blog posts, articles, guides, and new forms of content tailored to consultants navigating career transitions.
  • Design practical tools (e.g., toolkits, quizzes, templates) that advance Consultants for Impact’s mission and address audience needs.
  • Transform existing content into platform-specific formats (e.g., infographics, videos, or social posts) to maximize visibility and engagement.
Analytics and reporting
  • Use tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to monitor key performance indicators, including engagement, reach, follower growth, website traffic, bounce rate, and conversions.
  • Assess the impact of digital strategies across platforms, identifying trends and areas for optimization.
  • Create and maintain a centralized dashboard to track key metrics, ensuring real-time visibility into performance and trends.
  • Report on content and website performance regularly, offering data-driven recommendations to improve user experience, engagement, and overall impact.
Web management (preferred, not required)
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of Consultants for Impact’s website on Webflow, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. 
  • Regularly manage and refresh website content, including blog posts, landing pages, and program information, to keep the site dynamic and relevant.
  • Identify pathways for improvement and proactively implement creative solutions to enhance site functionality and aesthetics within Webflow’s capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated success managing social media platforms, including running paid advertising campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in crafting, editing, tone adaptation, and engaging effectively with target audiences.
  • Creativity in developing innovative content strategies and campaign ideas.
  • Skilled in optimizing content distribution, driving engagement, and monitoring performance across various platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with practical experience leveraging tools like Google Analytics to assess and improve outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to work independently while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Deeply motivated to produce impactful, high-quality digital content aligned with the organization’s mission.

Desirable

  • Experience with web management (e.g. Webflow, Wordpress, Wix).
  • Experience creating audio and video content.
  • Proficient in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva) to create visually appealing and engaging digital content. 
  • Previous experience working within the consulting industry, including internships, enhancing your ability to connect with our target audience effectively.
  • Familiarity and previous engagement with the core ideas of Effective Altruism.

What we offer

Compensation

  • We offer an annual salary of $70,000 USD pre-tax.
  • To maintain equity and consistency across the organization, Consultants for Impact has a standardized approach to compensation and does not negotiate salaries.
  • Compensation is not restricted to USD. Payments may be made in different currencies and payment intervals depending on the location of applicants and legal requirements.

Additional information

  • We are looking to hire a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist, but we will also consider candidates who prefer to work part-time (20–40 hours per week).
  • We’d prefer a start date around May 2025. That being said, we can be flexible for the right candidate!
  • This is a fully remote role, and we are able to hire in most countries legally. The role requires availability during working hours aligned with UTC-6 to UTC+1.
  • Candidates should be comfortable traveling regularly for in-person conferences, retreats, and coworking sessions (1-2 weeks every 3 months).
  • This position is structured as a 6-month contract with the potential for long-term extension based on performance and results.
