Context
The Programme Associate (One Health) will focus on the areas in the intersection of human, and anima health, with a particular emphasis on zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), peste des petits ruminants (PPR) and food safety. The Programme Associate will collaborate with national and international experts to enhance laboratory capacities, promote responsible antibiotic use, and improve animal health systems. He/she will work closely with partners at central and rural levels to provide technical support and contribute to the implementation of One Health initiatives in Armenia.
Task description
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of National Programme Manager or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will:
• Provide technical support for implementation of One Health initiatives.
• Draft and prepare reports and technical papers summarizing project results and analyzing data sets and technical assessment findings.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations.
• Conduct research and analysis to support One Health activities.
• Participate in training and capacity-building efforts.
• Provide administrative support to the One Health projects: scheduling meetings and making travel arrangements, assisting in organizing events, supporting procurement actions, developing presentations, coordinating participants, etc.
• Perform other duties as required.
