Student Assistant - Gender & Project Cycle Management*
in Bonn
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated with 14 Euro per hour.
The overall goal of the Sector Strategy, Knowledge & Learning Unit is the continuous quality improvement of the program work in the project countries of Welthungerhilfe. As Student Assistant, you will support our team in administrative tasks to achieve this goal. You will work primarily on gender related topics and assist with project cycle management. In close cooperation with other departments, you will gain a comprehensive, cross-departmental insight into the activities of Welthungerhilfe and get to know the different areas of work of an internationally operating NGO.
Your responsibilities
- Independent research and analyses, in particular on the topics of gender and project cycle management
- Preparation of material for internal discussion papers and support in the creation of presentations
- General preparation of meetings, retreats, workshops and multimedia events
- Conceptual and practical support for the planning, organisation and implementation of virtual events via MS Teams
- Support in the regular maintenance and communication impulses of a virtual community of practice
- Support with visualisations and in-house marketing
- Revision of formats, compilation and updating of overview lists
Your profile
- You are currently enrolled at a university/college, ideally in the field of international development cooperation, social sciences, or international relations.
- You already have some experience in project management, new media, report writing, and layout.
- You are interested in topics related to gender.
- You have very good IT skills, especially in Office applications such as MS Teams and PowerPoint, and are proficient in creating clear and engaging visualizations (e.g., in PowerPoint or Miro).
- You are characterized by a structured way of working and the ability to process tasks systematically and carry out research independently.
- You enjoy working in an intercultural environment, are a strong communicator, and have an open-minded personality.
- You have a very good command of spoken and written English; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
