Job Description
In coordination with the project team the expert will:
- Review the current state of the national legislation vs its status in 2021 related to the IT identification and registration systems and infrastructure in MoI through desk review with IOM and MoI assistance and consultation process with all the parties involved.
- Provide detailed assessment and, if needed, recommendations for needed changes and amendments for future alignment of the relevant national legislation with EU acquis (if needed) and efficient operationalization of Master Plan and the IT systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Final deliverable – Final Assessment Report with the review the current state of the national legislation vs its status in 2021 related to the IT identification and registration systems and infrastructure in MoI through desk review and consultation process with all the involved parties, and if needed, recommendations for needed changes and amendments for future alignment of the relevant national legislation with EU acquis and efficient operationalization of the Master Plan.
Deliverable by 10 May 2025, 10 working days and payment of one final installment upon successful completion of the tasks and provision of the Final Assessment Report.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree, preferably in Law, Political Science, Peace and Security Science, International Affairs, etc., or other relevant areas.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in migration management or other relevant areas.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of national migration management legislation. Knowledge of the national legislation related to IT identification and registration systems and infrastructure and EU information management systems – Eurodac will be considered as an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in research, assessments and report preparation.
- Experience in liaising with government authorities, diplomatic missions, and international organisations in North Macedonia authorities.
Skills
- Possession of national security clearance certificates will be considered as an asset. In case, the applicant doesn’t possess national security certificate he/she will undergo security briefing conducted by the Ministry of Interior.
- Demonstrated IT proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Languages
- Proficient knowledge of the Macedonian and English language.
Travel required
- Skopje, North Macedonia
