Job Purpose

To plan, implement and supervise the administration and development of the scholarship programs and the postgraduation activities of graduates. This role supports the Division manager in the execution of programs, activities and initiatives of the division while providing technical guidance to other staff.

Key Accountabilities
  • Contributes to the development of the annual work plan and budget of the IsDB’s scholarship Programs/Special Assistance Division.

  • Manages day-to-day scholarship activities, including preparing calls for applications, conducting in-house screening processes, and overseeing the shortlisting and selection of students through two Selection Committees.

  • Supervises the onboarding of newly selected students and oversees the monitoring and management of active students until graduation.

  • Conducts strategy and impact studies related to IsDB’s scholarship programs.

  • Develops detailed and structured plans for the mission and ensures its effective execution.

  • Designs and implements postgraduation activities for graduates.

  • Conducts regular audit to bring in improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of Scholarship Programs.

  • Reviews and improves/develop application processes, manuals, guidelines brochures.

  • Monitors the work of supports staff for compliance with policies and procedures and takes necessary corrective action.

  • Provides advice and guidance to stakeholders in MCs for implementing the Scholarship Programs.

  • Provides advice, explanation and interpretation to internal and external stakeholders for the implementation of policies.

  • Conducts regular impact and follows up studies and present results to the Division

  • Supports Division Manager in the development of marketing strategy for the promotion and branding of IsDB’s Scholarship Programs and the post-graduation activities.

  • Periodically evaluates scholarship programs and post-graduation activities for graduates to ensure their effectiveness.

  • Reviews and proposes adjustments to programs’ benefit packages.

  • Oversees the verification of financial disbursements and related activities on SAP module.

  • Benchmarks with reputable institutions and world class scholarship programs.

  • Supervises the preparation of reports and publications related to performance of Scholarship Programs.

  • Develops multimedia marketing material for promotion of Scholarship Programs.

  • Identifies financial and technical partners and develops effective collaboration mechanisms with them.

  • Conducts tracer studies and presents the results to the Division Manager for review and decision making.

  • Periodically assesses and reports on the performance of partners and partnership mechanisms.

Academic and professional qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or any other related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in scholarship programs management or education related institutions, ideally in similar type multilateral institutions.
