About this position
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and innovative Records Management Analyst. As Records Management Analyst, you will contribute to the successful implementation of the Records Management (RM) program at the IDB Group.
You will work in the Records Management Group, which is part of the Budget and Administrative Services department. This team is responsible for the RM program at the IDB Group, which encapsulates the establishment and monitoring of the RM governance framework, the management of digital and physical records, the delivery of RM support, including trainings to Business Units, the coordination of the RM function in the 29 Country Offices and the preservation and the valuation of IDB Group History.
What you’ll do:
- Support the compilation, classification, organization, preservation and maintenance of records in accordance with the IDB Group’s Records Management regulation and guidelines.
- Support the appraisal and destruction of eligible records in compliance with the Records Retention Schedules.
- Support the execution of transfers to and retrievals from the IDB Group Records Center as well as the disclosure of historical records.
- Perform testing and quality controls on systems and data sets.
- Deliver support and training activities on Records Management solutions.
- Contribute to projects geared to improving RM solutions with close interaction with the IT Team.
What you'll need
Education: Technical diploma or Associate Degree in Information Management, Business Administration or relevant topic.
Experience: At least four years of relevant practical work experience in RM or Information Management, preferably in an international organization or another multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with the concepts, principles and practice of information, document, records and archives management including appraisal, disposal and disclosure.
- Experience in using and supporting Records Management Systems.
- Physical capability to move records storage boxes weighing approximately from 40 to 60 pounds and to use proper warehouse ladders to lift and remove boxes from elevated shelves.
- Experience and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite. Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
- Excellent client service skills and ability to work with all levels of management and staff is critical.
- Good writing skills and experience in preparing and delivering various types of communications and presentations is required.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Contract Type
International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
