ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.
As a unit within the WB ITS Data Technology Office (ITSD), the Data and Analytics unit (ITSDA) focuses on developing advanced data platforms that improve the Bank's ability to collect, manage, govern, protect, analyze, and disseminate data. The solutions include products for corporate and developmental data management, business intelligence, and cutting-edge analytics. They also offer self-service analytics solutions, which allow users to analyze data without the need for specialized knowledge. The current technology landscape encompasses Cloud-based data platforms (Azure and AWS), Power BI, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Tibco Composite, SAP BW/Hana, Informatica Suite and many others. Our plans are to migrate our on-prem data repositories and re-engineer based on new Cloud architectures in the coming years.
We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic data professional with strong data management and engineering skills to lead a team of high performing data architects, analysts, and data engineers.
