A Day in the life of our Community Connector

This is a role in partnership with Trussell Trust Food banks and is based in the Potters Bar food Bank in Hertford.

In this hands-on role you’ll work directly with individuals across all sections of the community. You’ll provide short-term practical help, positive encouragement and emotional support tailored to individual needs. You’ll work directly with the Service Lead at Trussell Trust to coordinate the impact of our work to deal with the unmet needs and challenges of our service users.

You’ll be responsible for developing effective working relationships with all partners, stakeholders and local organisations. This will create social networks and local activities that can be sustained by the community in the longer-term.

Through direct contact with service users, you’ll focus on addressing social issues and helping service users to gain confidence and reconnect to their community. You’ll be at the forefront of creating bespoke support that goes beyond the surface, creating lasting change and renewed hope.

Typically, you’ll work in the foodbank between 12.30pm – 3pm each Saturday. Your other working hours will be from home or in the local community.

If you can ignite change with empathy and persuasion, this role isn't just a job – it's a chance to make a real impact. Step up to a role where your skills will help spread the power of kindness.
