Functional Responsibilities
- Support the development and roll out of the SNSOP Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks, guidelines, plans or tools to guide quality Monitoring and Evaluation in the project.
- Support the M&E Specialist to regularly review Monitoring and Evaluation plans, tools and other documents such as results matrices, reporting templates etc., as may be necessary in coordination with relevant colleagues or partners.
- Conduct periodic site visits to the project sites especially Labor Intensive Public Works (LIPW) sites to ascertain and promote adherence to agreed standards and timelines of implementation.
- Lead role in overseeing data collection (including beneficiary bio - data); collation; storage; analysis and reporting ensuring that data is of high quality and audit worthy.
- Carry out the Beneficiary Registration Lessons Learnt Survey (BRLLS) and Post Distribution Monitoring on a rolling basis to assess the success of the project and the level of impact achieved.
- Support the Project Management Senior Officer (Team Leader) in the preparation and review of project progress and monitoring reports at the field level in collaboration with other project staff.
- Support the community mobilization teams with attendance marking (both in hard copy and in the Management Information Systems) and generate the payrolls based on the number of days attended.
- Facilitates the implementation of regular and periodic project evaluations.
- Performs any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Knowledge Building and Knowledge Sharing:
- Provide regular verbal and written feedback on field observations and monitoring findings to the field teams and the M&E Specialist.
- Develop and share with the M&E Specialist reports related to local field M&E activities.
- Support the project staff in documenting, reviewing and consolidating lessons-learned from the field.
- Participate in M&E technical meetings and share any relevant field experiences with colleagues.
Final Product:
- Prepares and issues regular reports in accordance with supervisor’s guidelines.
- Maintains diaries and progress reports as required by UNOPS standard procedures.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education
-
High School (Secondary School) is required.

University Degrees (Bachelor's or Master’s) in development studies, management, social sciences, mathematics, statistics or related field will be an asset and may substitute some of the required years of experience.
Work Experience
-
Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the areas of M&E is required.

Experience in development work in remote areas highly desired.

Experience in World Bank M&E, social protection and food security projects is desired.

Experience in IT using Monitoring and Evaluation software is desired.

Experience in public works projects will be an desired.

Clear knowledge and experience working on data analysis is desired.
Language requirement
-
Fluency in written and oral English is required.

Knowledge of Arabic Language desired.
