About the job

The CCCM Assistant supports the daily Site management and coordinates CCCM static response activities at the site. ensuring safe and effective service delivery. Key responsibilities include assisting with site monitoring, facilitating community engagement, supporting service coordination, and maintaining records. They help implement protection and accountability measures, provide logistical support, and contribute to capacity-building efforts. The role ensures that the needs of displaced populations are addressed in a participatory, safe, and dignified manner. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Support the organization of community meetings and the establishment of governance structures, ensuring inclusive representation of all groups.
  • Participate in the information/sensitization campaigns in coordination with the other agencies working in the site.
  • Assist in the daily management of displacement sites, including monitoring site conditions, infrastructure, and service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of feedback and complaint mechanisms to ensure accountability to affected populations.
  • Participates in the mobilization of community leaders and other committees’ members
  • Assist in conducting site assessments and surveys to gather information on population demographics, needs, and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor the movement of people in and out of the site and track new arrivals
  • Facilitate the allocation of shelters inside the site.
  • Monitor and document gaps in services, infrastructure, or assistance, reporting them to the CCCM Officer.
  • Provide oral translation upon request of the superiors
  • Support in the organization and implementation of large-scale activities (CFW, distribution, registration, relocation, etc.), recreational and youth activities taking place within the site.
  • Distribute and post relevant IEC materials to increase population awareness in the targeted site.
  • Follow and uphold humanitarian principles and the centrality of protection at all times and in all functions of the role.
  • Support emergency response activities within the site, including relocations, disaster risk reduction measures, or contingency planning.
  • Help maintain site layouts and ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and humanitarian standards.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision., excellent computer skills in MS Word & and Excel.

Required

  • Two years experiences in CCCM operation in IDPs sites.
  • Experience in outreach, communications, advocacy, and community mobilization.
  • Must be a local; the ideal candidate has lived in the community for the last two years.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the target location communities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, fast learner, must be able to work alone and unsupervised.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills (or “people skills”).
  • Secondary level certificate is required. 
  • Post-secondary certificate in community development is desirable but isn’t a requirement.
