Job Description
Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. IOM opened its first office in Türkiye in 1991 and is now one of the largest globally with over 1,600 staff across the country, a main office in Ankara, and sub-offices in Istanbul and Gaziantep. IOM Türkiye manages a portfolio of over 40 projects in the areas of migration management, emergency response, community stabilization, and resettlement. To effectively manage a large and complex programme portfolio, IOM Türkiye has established a centralized Programme Development, Strategy, and Support Unit (PDSSU) based in Ankara with additional staff in Gaziantep and Istanbul. IOM Türkiye is therefore seeking an incumbent to support programme development and support efforts, particularly in the scope of European Commision grants. This portfolio includes projects within the scope of assisted voluntary return, assistance for vulnerable migrants, integrated border management, labour migration, integration, migration health, migration, environment and climate change, counter migrant smuggling, and employability. Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Dev&Rep), and the direct supervision of the National Programme Development Officer, the incumbent will support the Programme Development, Strategy, and Support Unit by facilitating procedures related to partnership strategies, programme development, and donor liaison. |

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Politics, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with five years of relevant professional experience; or
- High school diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent command of English;
- Proven experience in working, editing and writing documents in English;
- Proven experience working in the field of resource mobilization or project development;
- Experience in, technical writing and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector;
- Experience in design and facilitation of training/educational events;
- Proven strong organizational skills and practical experience of how to multi-task, prioritize and work independently.
