What we are looking for:

Are you ready to be the engine behind NRC’s digital transformation? We’re on the hunt for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to take the lead in provisioning, managing, and optimizing our Azure cloud infrastructure. Your mission: ensure our systems are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and always ready to support NRC’s life-changing work.

From virtual machines and databases to networking, storage, and identity management, you’ll manage it all while championing best practices in cloud security, governance, and compliance.

But it doesn't stop there. You’ll be the driving force behind automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and real-time monitoring - helping our teams move faster, smarter, and with greater confidence.

Working hand-in-hand with software developers, IT operations, and security teams, you’ll bridge the gap between innovation and stability. You'll also play a vital role in incident response, disaster recovery, and performance tuning, keeping our services resilient and responsive when they matter most.

If you're passionate about automation, love clean infrastructure, and thrive on collaboration and continuous improvement, this is your chance to make a real difference - at scale!

Note: This is an urgent recruitment process. Applications will be reviewed, and interviews conducted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The ideal candidate should be available to start immediately.

What you will do:

  • Lead the cloud deployment of internal and third-party applications to Azure using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Configure, optimize, and monitor cloud services to ensure cost efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Manage application firewall, resolving issues when they are reported to ensure secure operations
  • Set up observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor for system health, performance tracking, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Implement security best practices, manage secrets, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Work with developers to automate workflows, improve deployment frequency, and enhance software reliability.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on infrastructure, workflows, and best practices to support team knowledge transfer.
  • Any other task delegated from the line manager related to ICT or the position.

  • Contract: 8 Months.

  • Salary/benefits: grade 9 on NRC’s National salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
