About the Role:
The person assigned to this role will closely assist editors, IT professionals, and the founder of Atlas to help develop the Atlas social media accounts as well as help build partnerships with media outlets, NGOs, academic institutions and various influencers. He/she will also develop our membership community to help establish Atlas as a new information source. Later, this role would coordinate communication and membership specialists.
About Our Project:
We wish to help everyone understand the global socio-political situation. Through an interactive map and comprehensive, big-picture content created by invited experts.
Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience (2+ years) in PR, communication and marketing (ideally with experience working for nonprofits or other social or political initiatives)

Knowledge of social media, SEO and Google Analytics

Ability to lead a team of communication specialists

5 - 10 hours of volunteering availability per week (hopefully, we will later be able to professionalise our Atlas team, including this role)
Primary Responsibilities:

Media relations (addressing media outlets, networking with journalists and building partnerships, writing press releases, etc.)

Social media (creating content, various partnerships, management, analytics)

Developing and maintaining partnerships with various NGOs, academic and other institutions, and various influencers (social influencers and activists, politicians, bloggers, YouTubers, podcasters, etc.)

Google SEO and Google Ads (potentially also Bing SEO and Microsoft Ads)

Membership community development (revising the current model, taking care of the initial community, and moderating discussions)
What you can expect from Atlas:

An opportunity to become a long-term member of our Organisation. You will receive close long-term assistance from our founder as well as from other members of the small internal team.

When the whole team manages to secure the first funding of approx. 5 000 EUR per month, we will be able to cover 10 hours per week with 20 EUR per hour, for everyone on the internal team. With more funding, we aim to further increase the involvement and the number of paid contracts. Currently, we are all volunteers.

In the long term, we wish to develop Atlas as a democratically-led association. Proven internal members would gain full voting rights and become co-owners of the Organisation with full responsibility and freedom to make the crucial decisions
About Our Team:
We are officially based and registered as a nonprofit Organisation in Prague, Czechia, but we operate remotely as an international group of currently around 3-4 volunteers who believe in helping non-expert audiences globally understand the socio-political situation in the current world.
