CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Warehouse and Hygiene Supervisor to work in BSD department in the Operations chapter.
The positions will be based at CIMMYT’s headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.
Specific duties:
® Supervise Cleaning Operations
Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of all food and beverage areas (kitchen, dining room, Rincón Mexicano, warehouse, cafeteria, food truck, grocery store, vending machines, transport units, BBQ area) in compliance with Distintivo H and Punto Limpio standards.
® Train and Monitor Staff
Train staff on proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment. Ensure accurate completion of cleaning logs and certification documentation.
® Manage Hygiene Supplies
Supervise the storage, dosage, and requisition of cleaning supplies and PPE, minimizing waste and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
® Oversee Deep Cleaning and Waste Management
Ensure proper execution of deep cleaning tasks, grease trap maintenance, and waste disposal according to internal protocols.
® Coordinate Auxiliary Services Staff
Assign roles and schedules for weekend shifts, holidays, and coverage during absences. Support team operations and fill in when needed.
® Monitor Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
Report anomalies, raise maintenance tickets, and track temperature logs for refrigeration and conservation equipment.
® Supervise Kitchen Warehouse Operations
Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation (PEPS), and compliance with Distintivo H standards.
® Procure and Track Supplies
Request materials from suppliers, verify invoices, update product catalogs, and ensure accurate documentation for purchases and deliveries.
® Operate Official Vehicles
Drive official vehicles for supply collection, maintaining cleanliness and reporting any damage or maintenance needs.
® Support Certifications and Administrative Tasks
Collaborate in certification processes, maintain updated logs, and assist with purchasing, inventory, and warehouse coordination as directed by the supervisor.
Required qualifications, skills, and attitudes:
® •Bachelor's degree in Gastronomy, Administration, Accounting, or a related field
® Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in warehouse operations, purchase orders, and inventory management
® Experience in cleaning industrial kitchens and handling cleaning chemicals, as well as personal protective equipment
® Personnel management skills
® English proficiency level B2–C1
® Knowledge of Distintivo H implementation
® Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
® Experience with point-of-sale systems (Infocaja, Softrest, etc.)
® Availability for flexible scheduling and rotating shifts
® Valid driver's license
