Mission Objective

The Project Portfolio Management Department (PPMD), under the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for monitoring the Bank’s investment portfolio covering sovereign-guaranteed and non-sovereign transactions ensuring timely actions by other Operations Departments and Divisions in line with applicable policies and guidelines.  The Department also manages operations in East Asia and the Pacific, as well as other regions not covered by existing Regional Offices/Centers, assuming responsibility for project origination, and implementation monitoring. These services are critical to securing a steady pipeline of projects for the Bank while ensuring accountability and transparency across all stages of the project cycle.

The Professional, Project Portfolio Management (Data Analyst) is responsible for the analytical review of the investment portfolio and for automation of processes and tasks of Operations Departments and Divisions, working in close cooperation with NDB IT Division.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain and improve an online repository of project related information using Microsoft 365 environment (including SharePoint, PowerBI, Powerapps and Azure).
  • Analyze data pertaining to portfolio of loans, funds, guarantees and equity assets in line with requests of Operations Departments and Divisions and Management.
  • Participate in automation of processes and tasks of Operations Departments and Divisions, working in collaboration with NDB IT Division
  • Interact with NDB IT Division on matters related to project related database and automation of operations processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine project portfolio information requirements for further analyses, build cooperative engagement in the implementation and monitoring of project portfolios, and support the development of business strategies in sectors and region of operation
  • Organize the timely delivery of portfolio reviews and outputs to ensure consistency in approach and alignment with wider Bank transaction cycles.
  • Design automation scenarios for different tasks and processes of Operations Departments and Divisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Microsoft 365 environment (including SharePoint, PowerBI, Powerapps and Azure)
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field with at least 5 years (in addition to the above-mentioned minimum 5 years relevant experience) of relevant professional experience could be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • General experience in service delivery/project design in data analysis for financial sector organizations.
  • Fluency in English essential to communicate in writing and speaking. Knowledge of a second language (preferably from one of the NDB member countries) is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
