Functional Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the CEO and SRSG, the Chief of Staff - SEforALL will be responsible to:
Leadership and Management
-
Work closely with the CEO/SRSG to implement the organization’s strategic direction and Business Plan.

Provide oversight and guidance across external programmes with regular check-ins and ensure they are delivering in line with donor agreements.

Design and implement critical and imperative changes, and strategic initiatives, across the organisation to achieve the goals of the strategic plan.

Manage the operations of the Executive Office in conjunction with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO)

Manage the transition into UNOPS implementations and process for SEforALL becoming an international organisation.

Act as a leader and role model for the rest of the organisation.
External Relations

Along with the CEO/SRSG and other EMC members serve as leadership representation of SEforALL to global stakeholders, building and strengthening key partnerships across existing, new and innovative sectors to achieve SDG7 and just and equitable energy transitions.

Represent SEforALL in public fora and through public speaking engagements in high-level events, seminars, workshops, etc.

Communicate in a dynamic, inspiring and effective manner the challenges of achieving SDG7 and a just and equitable energy transition, and the mission of SEforALL and the contribution of our work towards those goals.
Governance and Administration

Provide support to the Administrative Board, Funders Council and Leadership Council as needed to advance strategic and informed decision making.

Explore substantive engagement opportunities for SEforALL to engage and lead international discourse on key emerging topics.

Engage actively in Executive Management Committee and Programme Leads Committee meetings.

Provide quality control and contribute intellectual leadership in the management of partnerships, country engagements, special projects/programs.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Advanced Degree (Master's Degree or Equivalent) in Economics, Public Policy, Energy, Engineering, Finance, Business or Public Administration, Management or related field is required.
Experience
-
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in energy or climate change with progressive responsibilities, including a proven track record of supporting and advising a CEO or other senior level executive.

Experience in demanding, pressurized, international environments is required.

Experience working with UN agencies is desirable.
Language
-
Fluency in English is required.

Working knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
