The Department of Safeguards carries out the IAEA's duties and responsibilities as the world's nuclear inspectorate, supporting global efforts to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. The primary role of the Department is to develop and implement IAEA safeguards to ensure that there is no diversion of declared nuclear material from peaceful activities and no indications of undeclared nuclear material or activities in a State as a whole. Main Purpose
As a member of the SGLake project team within the Development Section, Office for Information and Communications System (SGIS), the Subscriber shall contribute to the project goal of establishing a major new platform for the Department of Safeguards\: the Data Lakehouse. In particular, the Subscriber shall provide expert guidance in new technology and platforms, lead task implementation, support project delivery and implementation, and promote a Data Lakehouse best practice approach. Remuneration The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of ⬠350, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
