INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: The Operations Intern will be responsible for supporting our agency’s Operations Team with the daily administrative, logistical, and inventory management tasks related to running a professional office dedicated to refugee resettlement.
SCHEDULE: 10-15 hours per week. One semester/4 months
START DATE: January 7, 2026
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Operations team with receiving, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery of office inventory
Maintain office inventory database
Assist staff with IT and onboarding resource needs: laptop setup, badge making, cell phone distribution
Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issue.
Assist with purchasing – creating invoices and online orders
Organize, scan and process documents
Monitor team email inbox, respond to staff needs, and maintain communication with staff and vendors
Collaborate and partner with staff and Operations team to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes
Monitor front desk, answer calls, direct clients to appointments, and provide information to clients and other visitors
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Teams, Excel – or willingness to learn
Willingness to learn basic hardware and software troubleshooting
Position requires extended periods of sitting, walking/standing with some bending, pushing, pulling and stooping
Must possess the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds to desk level
Attention to detail
Good communications skills
Moderate command of English
Must be willing to work in a diverse, fast-paced professional environment and be willing to adapt to shifting requirements and priorities
SUPERVISION: This position reports to the Operations Manager, with daily task supervision by the Operations Coordinator.

This is an unpaid internship position. No financial compensation, including compensation for relocation, is available.
