We are currently seeking a highly analytical, curious and commercially minded Investment Analyst, Debt Sustainable Food to join our Sustainable Food team focused on Latin America. This role is designed for professionals who enjoy understanding businesses through numbers. You will work closely with experienced investment professionals, analyse company performance, monitor portfolio developments and contribute to investment decision-making across a diverse portfolio of companies operating throughout Latin America.

While the sector focus is sustainable food and agriculture, what matters most is your ability to understand financial statements, identify key business drivers and assess risks. Sector knowledge can be learned. A strong analytical and financial foundation is essential and will be tested via case studies during the recruitment process.

Your role

As an Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and monitoring SME portfolio companies, reviewing financial performance and supporting the investment team with credit analysis, financial modelling and monitoring of key financial and business KPI´s. You will assess profitability, cash flow generation, working capital requirements, leverage, liquidity and debt repayment capacity while identifying emerging trends, opportunities and risks. You will also monitor disbursements, shipments, payment obligations, compliance with financing agreements, financial covenants and reporting requirements, ensuring that relevant developments are captured and escalated when needed.

Working closely with the Sustainable Food team, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of business models, industries and financing structures across Latin America. You will collaborate with colleagues from Risk, AML/KYC, Treasury and Portfolio Management worldwide and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving processes, reporting and analytical capabilities through technology, automation and AI.

Your profile

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or another quantitative field, combined with approximately two to four years of relevant experience in areas such as credit analysis, corporate banking, structured finance, project finance, risk analysis, audit, transaction services or other financially focused roles.

You enjoy working with numbers and are comfortable analysing financial statements and business performance. You have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong Excel skills and financial modelling, and the ability to turn large amounts of financial information into clear conclusions and practical recommendations.

Equally important, you are curious, organised and proactive. You enjoy asking questions, challenging assumptions and understanding how businesses create value. You are comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely within an international team.

Experience in agriculture, food value chains or sustainability is welcome but not essential. We are primarily looking for someone with strong financial and analytical skills who is eager to learn about the sector. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, and interviews will be conducted in both languages. Successful candidates should have already a valid work permit to work in Colombia.

 Our offer

This is an opportunity to accelerate your career in investment management and gain exposure to companies across emerging markets. You will work alongside experienced investment professionals, deepen your financial and credit analysis skills and contribute to investments that generate both financial returns and meaningful impact.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, a flexible hybrid working model and extensive opportunities for learning, development and career growth within Incofin.
