The European Climate Foundation (ECF) is a major philanthropic initiative working to foster the net-zero transition and ensure a healthy, thriving planet for current and future generations. We support over 700 partner organisations to drive progress towards the goals of the Paris Agreement, promote practical policymaking in response to the climate crisis, and broaden political and public support for climate action. If you want to be a strong candidate for ECF, you might consider:
- Gaining experience in climate policy, either via NGOs, government, or environmental think-tanks.
- Developing communications skills: writing for public audiences, media, or policy stakeholders.
- Building project or grant monitoring / evaluation experience.
- Learning how EU policy works (if you want roles that engage with European institutions).
- Showing ability to work internationally, in cross-cultural teams, sometimes remotely.
- Highlighting your passion for climate, but also your ability to be practical, results-oriented, and collaborative.
