We are Alliance to Feed the Earth in Disasters (ALLFED). Our mission is to help build resilience to global catastrophic food system failure, in order to feed everyone, no matter what.
We recognize that while global catastrophic risks may seem distant, their impact would be both wide-reaching and devastating. We work to develop and model cost-effective solutions that could contribute to building resilient food systems capable of sustaining humanity through Global Catastrophic Food Failure (GCFF).
We seek to identify various resilient food solutions, grounded in science and research, and help governments and companies implement them. Our focus is on events that could deplete 5% or more of global calorie output, or access to those calories, caused by catastrophes such as large volcanic eruptions or super-pandemics.
While ALLFED may not have all the answers, we are committed to helping humanity build a future defined by resilience, collaboration, and hope.
