Scope of work:
The Nurse Supervisor will provide technical support and competency based supportive supervision to partners’ health staff (Nurses), which include both mobile team and static team. In addition to this, the Nurse Supervisor will also assist Health Manager and Capacity Building Team regarding capacity development plan for partner health staff. S/He will also ensure that partners’ health Nurses are provided clinic care in accordance with standard protocols and guidelines. S/He will also assist in monitoring and evaluation of project quality under the direct supervision of Health Manager.
Major Responsibilities:
Program Implementation, Supervision & Development
- Provide clinic technical and capacity building to partner(s) health staff (Nurse) in accordance with standard protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct regular competency based supportive supervision and technical support to partner(s) mobile/ static clinic Nurses.
- Organize and provide regular on-the-job training to partner(s) health nurse based on the result of competency based supportive supervision check list.
- Assist Health Manager and Capacity Building Team to identify essential technical capacity building plan for partners’ Nurses.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Participating in program monitoring and evaluation.
- Monthly program narrative report to Health Manager.
Other
- Coordinate with program support teams to implement project activities in time
- Assist Health Manager to provide procurement documents in advance as needed.
- In collaboration with other members of the health project team, participate in the design and implementation of formative assessments and baseline studies.
- Assist Health Manager for establishing IPC, Stock management, and diseases surveillance system and outbreak response as needed.
- Remain flexible to perform other duties as required or requested.
What should you have?
Key Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma of Nursing
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working with UN/INGO/LNGOs and public health activities
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work in difficult situations with flexibility
- Ability to travel and work long continuous days in remote IDP camps and villages
- Good communication skills and experience in facilitation
- Skilled facilitator, educator, and trainer
- Advanced knowledge and skill in using Microsoft Office package
Language Skills:
- Good in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Good in speaking and understanding local languages.
