CIMMYT is seeking an outstanding, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional for the position of Payroll Analyst to work within the Human Resources Department.
The position is based at CIMMYT’s campus in Texcoco, State of Mexico, located 45 km northeast of Mexico City, Mexico.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform the calculation and processing of severance payments and periodic payrolls: weekly, biweekly (every two weeks), and monthly (IRS)
- Receive, track, and update payroll-related incidents.
- Manage payroll and compensation-related data.
- Process special payrolls, including year-end bonus (aguinaldo), vacation premium, severance payments, retroactive payments, and bonuses.
- Administer the grocery voucher benefit.
- Conduct reconciliations between internal payroll systems and SAT records.
- Administer digital payroll receipts, including tax stamping (CFDI) and availability through the online platform.
- Prepare accumulated income statements.
- Maintain an accurate digital payroll documentation filing system.
- Generate reports related to new hires, terminations, salaries, overtime, and payroll transactions.
- Support the preparation of information required for audits (IMSS, local taxes) and actuarial calculations.
- Provide support to internal clients on payroll and benefits-related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll-related roles.
- Knowledge of labor and tax laws (current legislation), including LFT, LSS, INFONAVIT, and ISR.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- English proficiency at B1–B2 level.
