The Role
At Last Mile Health, we work to deploy a health worker within reach of everyone, everywhere. This consultancy aims to complete the cleaning of the National Community Health Program (NCHP) geospatial mapping data and conduct knowledge transfer from the consultant to the LMH MERL team to ensure that the mapping data can be effectively incorporated into the MOH’s National CHW Master List & Registry.
Project Description
The Ministry of Health is in the process of developing a national georeferenced Community Health Worker (CHW) master list hosted in DHIS2. The process started with a physical mapping of geographic data in all communities participating in the Liberia NCHP. In addition to providing essential information for the national CHW master list, the mapping data will inform the Ministry of Health’s decision-making for CHW allocation. The consultant will support the cleaning and analysis of the mapping exercise and provide technical advice on how to incorporate the mapping data into national data systems.
The consultancy is open to remote work with a preference for candidates based in GMT (Liberia ) time zone. This position is open to National and International Candidates.

- Master’s Degree in geospatial sciences, epidemiology, or related field. Formal training in geographic information systems preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading GIS field work.
- Strong skills in programs that support efficient GIS data collection, analysis, and visualization (e.g. ODK, Kobo Collect, R, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience with developing protocols for GIS data collection and data quality assurance.
- Understanding the various MOH information systems and how they work at the different levels of the health system.
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and ability to collaborate with and provide technical support to government counterparts.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality outputs.
- Experience working in remote or hard-to-reach, resource-limited settings, especially in Liberia.
- Mission-driven with a commitment to health, social justice and gender equity.
