Site Engineer - Interim Support
Location: EUAA HQ, Malta.
Tentative start date: As soon as possible, till 31/01/2027 (with possibility of extension)
Salary Category IV - Gross monthly: EUR 4,111.47
Job Description
Responsibilities in the field of structural, civil, and mechanical engineering as assigned by the resident engineer and/or line manager:
- Align all contractor activity according to project planning,
- Control and quality check activities of civil contractors on-site,
- Provide sound technical data analysis and recommendations,
- Prepare requests for services and/or projects briefs, maintains project planners,
- Verify administrative documents handed in by contractors,
- Other duties as assigned by line manager; Occasional travel abroad may be required.
Minimum requirements
- Completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma. University degree in Engineering or similar, preferably in one of the following fields: structural civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering;
- At least 5 years’ experience in the delivery of technical services related to building management within the public or private sector; Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
General requirements
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English (at least C1); any other European language on B2 level, such as: Spanish, Italian, Greek, Maltese, is highly appreciated.
- No legal obligations to any civil contractor in Malta, including labor, contract or (co-) ownership or self-employed;
- Ability to observe high confidentiality.

Non-resident rate: Non-Maltese employees who are moving to Malta for the purposes of employment will be subject to "Non-resident" tax rates for the first 183 days from arrival – these are higher than the standard rates. Once 183 days of residence are reached, income tax will be recalculated for the entire period of employment in the current year from arrival in Malta, and the tax will be adjusted to recover any overpaid tax. If the 183-day period extends into the following year, and 183 days of residence in Malta are not accumulated, the overpaid tax will need to be claimed back from the authorities with personal income tax return.
