About this position
We are looking for a dedicated and driven professional in strategy, data analysis, and program management to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to support the implementation of the Institutional Strategy through the IDB Group Impact Framework and provide valuable insights to support decisionmaking by senior management and the Board of Directors.
You will be part of the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Division (SPD/SMO), which falls under the Office of Strategic Planning and Development Effectiveness (SPD). SPD is responsible for providing technical guidance to foster a culture of results within the Bank, as well as helping innovate its core business and ensure the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of its products and methods. As part of SPD, the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Division (SPD/SMO), is responsible for: (i) developing the Institutional Strategy and strategic proposals for its implementation, contributing to defining the IDB’s role in best serving the evolving needs of its clients; (ii) leading the review and design of operational instruments; (iii) monitoring the Bank's performance in alignment with the priorities outlined in the Institutional Strategy, as measured and reported in the Impact Framework, the annual Impact Report, and periodic business reviews; (iv) administers and monitors the information system that tracks the performance of SG loan operations; (v) acting as Management's liaison with the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE), coordinating and ensuring Management’s responses to OVE evaluations and tracking Board-endorsed recommendations; (vi) ensuring the alignment of the Bank's organizational structure and business processes with its objectives, recommending changes to enhance the consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across Bank units; and (vii) ensuring that the Bank's information systems support results-based management at all levels, providing key decision-makers with open access to relevant data.
What you’ll do
• Support the collection of Impact Framework data across the IDB Group by gathering information from relevant sources, ensuring consistency with established indicator definitions, and addressing basic data gaps or inconsistencies
• Maintain complete and organized records of Impact Framework data and ensure files and databases are up to date for reporting purposes.
• Help coordinate reporting on the Impact Framework through the public website and internal dashboards by preparing inputs, updating content, performing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) activities, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support analyses of performance trends by compiling data and preparing simple summaries to inform decision-making and planning processes.
• Assist in preparing inputs for corporate reports, including the annual Impact Report, quarterly operational updates, and other presentations that incorporate Impact Framework progress.
• Support communications and training efforts related to the Impact Framework by preparing materials, organizing training sessions, and helping draft internal communications.
• Assist in the Impact Framework mid-term review by compiling data, preparing preliminary summaries, and supporting coordination of inputs from different teams to ensure timely delivery of review materials.
• Conduct basic research and benchmarking on practices from comparator organizations and summarize findings for internal use.
• Support accurate English/Spanish translations of Impact Framework and Impact Report materials by reviewing drafts and coordinating with translators.
• Provide general support for other corporate reporting needs related to the Impact Framework and reporting on the SDGs, responding to ad hoc requests, and collaborating with other MDBs as needed.
What you'll need
• Education: A master’s degree in international development, public policy, public administration, international relations, or other related fields.
• Experience: At least five years of relevant professional and academic experience in program evaluation, data analysis, international development, public policy, public administration, international relations, or other related fields.
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration
International Consultant Full-Time, 24 months, (up to 48 months subject to eligibility).
