LIONS QUEST SKILLS FOR ACTION - Provide consultancy support to trainers, participate in training sessions for programme facilitators, and support local consultants and UNODC - Prepare the evaluation methodology, advise local consultants, and participate in the analysis of collected data - Supervise the meetings with local consultants: preparation and implementation - Review the prepared evaluation methodology and participation in the analysis of the collected data - Participate in the selection of schools and programme facilitators, organisation of training, preparation of documentation for programme implementation, and support for programme facilitators - Prepare research methodology, training of programme facilitators on the procedure and method of data collection, and data analysis: pre-test SKILS FOR ADOLESCENCE - Prepare five post-test results reports in English, with a minimum length of five pages (Courier 11, normal line spacing) - Prepare a scientific paper for publication in a renowned international journal SKILLS FOR GROWING - Prepare documentation for ethical approval of the evaluation methodology, development of measurement instruments, and preparation of instructions for data collection - Create sociograms (26 x 2), analysis of at least 20 social-emotional learning monitoring diaries for each student (26 students, n = 520), Student Behaviour Assessment Scales (26 x 2 = 52), analysis of programme monitoring forms (n = 260), and analysis of questionnaires for students and teachers (approximately 450). - Prepare a scientific paper for publication in a renowned international journal - Prepare and implement the follow-up meeting programme and writing of the meeting report

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and conduct activities related to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Lions Quest programmes in South-Eastern Europe, as specified below: Lions Quest Skills for Action o Facilitate the implementation of the culturally adapted Lions Quest Skills for Action programme in the Una-Sana Canton o Facilitate the evaluation of the culturally adapted Lions Quest Skills for Action programme in the Una-Sana Canton o Facilitate the implementation of the culturally adapted Lions Quest Skills for Action programme in Slovenia o Facilitate the evaluation of the culturally adapted Lions Quest Skills for Action programme in Slovenia o Facilitate the implementation of the culturally adapted Lions Quest Skills for Action programme in Croatia o Facilitate the evaluation of the culturally adapted Lions Quest Skills for Action programme in Croatia Lions Quest Skills for Adolescence o Evaluate the post-test results of the Lions Quest Skills for Adolescence programme and submit the analysis for the Republic of Srpska o Evaluate the post-test results of the Lions Quest Skills for Adolescence programme and submit the analysis for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina o Evaluate the post-test results of the programme and submit the analysis for Slovenia o Evaluate the post-test results of the programme and submit the analysis for Montenegro o Evaluate the post-test results of the Lions Quest Skills for Adolescence programme and submit the analysis for North Macedonia o Prepare an analysis of pre- and post-test data for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Slovenia in the form of a scientific paper Lions Quest Skills for Growing o Prepare the methodology for case studies for the evaluation of the Lions Quest Skills for Growing programme in Montenegro o Analyse qualitative and quantitative data for the evaluation of the programme in Montenegro o Conduct a comprehensive analysis of all data collected during the evaluation (pre-test, mid-term measurement, post-test, case studies) and prepare a scientific paper on the process and outcomes of the pilot implementation in Montenegro o Prepare and conduct the fourth follow-up meeting for the Lions Quest Skills for Growing programme in Montenegro

Qualifications/special skills

Education An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in social science, educational science, behavioral disorders or a related field is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience - At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of school-based prevention, education, youth development, or related social sciences, including experience in programme implementation, analysis and evaluation are required. - Knowledge of evidence-based drug use prevention interventions is required. - Experience in organizing and facilitating workshops is desirable. - Proven experience with conducting the trainings and facilitating groups is desirable. - Intercultural work experience and/or experience working experience with the UN is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
