UNDP is the UN’s global development network, working in more than 170 countries to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, and build resilience. Gender equality and women’s empowerment are central to UNDP’s mandate and to the achievement of its Strategic Plan. The Gender Team, part of the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS), provides policy advice and technical support to advance gender equality across UNDP’s portfolio. The Team leads flagship initiatives including the Gender Equality Seal for Development and the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions, and supports countries to strengthen gender integration, institutional transformation, and policy innovation. Interns will support implementation of the Gender Team’s Global Programme by engaging in research, coordination, data analysis, knowledge management and communications.
