The Role
At Last Mile Health (LMH), we do things differently despite the challenges. If so, you may be our next Senior Coordinator, Operational Services in the Ghana office.
The Senior Coordinator, Operational Services will play a critical role in supporting operational excellence for the Ghana office while contributing to systems strengthening across Last Mile Health’s program countries. Here is a summary of duties this role will take on:
- Ghana-specific responsibilities include supporting new-hire onboarding, coordinating international staff relocation, and managing immigration processes. This position will also oversee country office travel and event management, supervise facility management contractors, and serve as the Safety and Security Focal Person for the Ghana office, providing support to both Global and Country leadership in responding to safety and security incidents or crises.
- Beyond Ghana, this role requires supporting the development, rollout, and training of operational processes and systems across LMH's other program countries. Key areas include Fleet Management, Transportation and Travel, Facilities Management, Asset Management, and business operations compliance. The Senior Coordinator will work closely with country teams to drive operational improvements in planning, reporting, policy compliance, and cost optimization.
Under the Global Operations support function, this role will be expected to project manage multi-country operational initiatives effectively, remotely support multiple teams and workstreams simultaneously, and take an active role in developing and implementing key country operational strategies, both remotely and in person.

This position is only open to candidates who are currently located and authorized to work in Ghana. This role is hybrid and located in Accra, Ghana
What You'll Do
Ghana Office Administration
- Monitor incoming support requests and ensure prompt resolution. Oversee day-to-day facilities, including office supplies, cleaning, security, maintenance, and utilities.
- Track and manage the office lease, supervise inventory, and ensure asset management systems are regularly updated with timely periodic reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date records for internal and external communications through the Ghana Google Shared Drive, physical filing systems, and other communication tools.
- Assess operational needs and work with the Head of Country to improve compliance and systems. Provide immigration and travel logistics support for all travelers to the Ghana office.
Ghana Office Policy and Regulatory Compliance
- Work with the Head of Country and relevant people on the Global team to ensure all relevant policies needed for the efficient operations of the Ghana office have been developed and rolled out
- Ensure Ghana office procedures and management are done as per laid out internal and/or donor policies and external local and/or international regulatory and legal requirements
- Work with the Head of Country to ensure the prompt submission of all LMH Ghana regulatory registrations and filings, and ensure compliance with government regulations and statutory requirements
- Lead the compilation and tracking of all Ghana office LMH regulatory documents, insurances, immigration documents, amongst others, to ensure that they are available and up to date
Ghana Office People Systems and Event Logistics Support
- Collaborate with the People Operations Team to support the onboarding of new hires and provide logistical support for the relocation of incoming international staff.
- Set up and manage office IT systems, supporting team members with hardware and software needs in coordination with LMH's external Global IT team.
- Work with the Head of Country and Managing Director, Operational Services to develop office culture initiatives, organize team meetings and bonding activities, and provide logistical support for team retreats held in Ghana.
- Work with the Managing Director of Operational Services to organise and facilitate team meetings and team bonding initiatives
Global Facility, Fleet, Transportation & Travel
- Coordinate revision, retraining, and compliance of Fleet, Transport, and Travel policies. Develop and roll out systems and templates for fleet acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and fuel consumption reporting.
- Support country-led initiatives to improve operational performance and optimize costs. Assist countries in establishing Preferred Supplier Agreements with fleet and travel vendors across all program countries.
- Support country teams in developing logistics planning standards for in-country visits and ensure compliance with office policies and standards across LMH program countries.
Global Business Operations Support
- Support the rollout of processes that enhance data quality and develop systems and templates for tracking and reporting operational performance.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance for office setup, relocation, vendor contracting, and operationalization of new operations sites.
- Support country teams in maintaining Safety and Security documents and establishing systems to track business certifications and insurance renewals.
- Support the Global Safety and Security Council in responding to organization-wide crises and country incidents, while providing surge support to country teams during peak periods or personnel gaps.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Progressive experience in complex operations or country program operations with relevant experience with Operational Fleet, Logistics, and/or Facility management.
- Demonstrated experience in office management, administration, Information Technology, Systems, and Accounting.
- Experience working with government regulatory agencies and stakeholders, with a strong background in Safety and Security management.
- Significant experience working in resource-scarce environments, with demonstrated ability to develop, train, and roll out policies and operational standards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to consolidate intelligence and produce threat assessments and actionable recommendations.

For Ghana, the range is $21,823 to $30,553 USD per annum, depending on experience doing an equivalent role. Please note that this compensation is subject to statutory taxes.
