Your job and responsibilities

Are you interested in working in a dynamic, international environment? Would you like to help provide first-class catering services while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction? Would you like to work within the joint services of two EU institutions – the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)?

As an assistant in catering services within the Infrastructure Unit, you will be involved in the management of catering services, in particular calls for tender, internal communication, organising awareness-raising campaigns and monitoring all aspects of sustainability related to catering.

You will organise the implementation of all operational and administrative tasks related to contract management in this area. You will also carry out other administrative and financial tasks. You will be part of the dynamic team of the EMAS and catering services sector, which consists of seven people.

Job-specific requirements

  • You have solid experience in catering, with an ability to ensure continued quality in terms of taste and nutrition.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, including the ability to prepare informative texts and presentations in French and English.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another of these languages. For operational reasons, a high level of French is required and a good level of English is desirable.
  • You have a good command of IT applications and tools, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint, including AI tools in a secure environment.

Assets

  • Previous experience in administrative management, monitoring budgetary, financial and contractual planning, while ensuring the legality and regularity of transactions, is a major asset.
  • Experience in drafting minutes after meetings and events is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of the purchase, installation and maintenance of kitchen equipment is desirable.
