Unit Context:
The ITS Risk Management and Analytics (ITSRA) unit enables key WBG Risk functions managed by the Risk vice-presidencies and their corporate partners such as measure and monitor credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk to safeguard WBG institutions’ AAA rating and reputation. The unit also engages with Treasury, WFA, and DFI to ensure proper capture, valuation, and support analytics around financial instruments and counterparties, and the risks they carry.
Duties and accountabilities:
Role Purpose:
The Software Engineering Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of internal IT applications across various technologies. With guidance, this role evaluates user needs and designs organization-specific applications and systems that enhance internal operations. The Software Engineering Analyst also collaborates closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver value through continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
Systems Development
• Design and optimize data models for performance and accuracy
• Develop Liquidity risk reporting and analytics
• Participate in troubleshooting when issues are identified in the end of day processes, system performance and scalability issues
• Coordinate with other ITS teams to fix the issues identified in a timely manner
• Assists with the development of high-quality software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance system performance
• Adheres to security and compliance standards throughout the software development lifecycle
• Supports the integration of software components and their deployment in production environments
Continuous Improvement
• Enhance the Liquidity risk framework to incorporate new products
• Helps evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve existing systems and processes
• Follows best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Supports agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
• Participates in cross-functional collaboration to gather and analyze product requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals
Selection Criteria
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (for example in IT field: Bachelor’s Degree with min 1 year of related work experience.)
